![]() They do not bring the food to your table, you go and pick it up from the counter when they call which ever answer you gave them. There are some things that are different about this restaurant in that when you place an order they ask you a question to which you have to respond in order for them to place your order, for example this last time the question was "if you could be a cartoon character who would you be?" They will not call you to come and get your food by name, they will call you based on whatever answer you give to their question. However I would personally stick to eating two favorite breakfast sandwiches as they are very filling. I tried the hashups on this past visit and they were definitely filling. You can't go wrong with that combination. My favorite two breakfast sandwiches are "the squawking goat" and "the five and dime". However I can honestly say that the Maple Street biscuit company has consistently delivered a delicious breakfast each and every visit. I've been to the San Marco location and the Jax Beach location but it was my first time visiting the Edgewood Avenue location. We did luck out and get a great parking space but beware parking is very difficult in this area! even tho we have heard at their food is delicious. Maple Street biscuit company needs to get their communication act together ! We probably won't be going back. But, I was able to put together a breakfast for myself by choosing from "sides" on the chalkboard menu.however when it was our turn to order our food The gal told us that we could only order from the paper menu ? No explanation was given and may I repeat the paper menu had no prices ? This was very disappointing and frustrating! There were no carb free choices on the paper menu ! ( please note carb free can mean something as simple as bacon and eggs ) We had just driven out of our way to come to this place and then waited in a line to find out our choices were very limited ? So.we walked out and went to our other favorite breakfast place. ) The chalkboard menu was very high up on the wall and the print was very small making it hard to read and understand for a first time customer. (my husband is the biscuit lover in the family. I do not eat carbs so I was looking for a breakfast without biscuits which is quite hard to do in this establishment. We went inside and began to scrutinize the chalkboard menu (with prices) on the wall above the order desk. ![]() ![]() so when we were handed a paper menu at the door I wasn't surprised however I was confused as there were no prices listed on that paper menu. It was our first visit and I had looked at reviews online prior to us arriving. We visited this location two days after hurricane Matthew blew through town. ![]()
